In postseason honors, six Mount Women’s Lacrosse Team members were given accolades. The Mount Women’s Lacrosse team has been recognized in many recent years, and with this is considered one of the most successful teams at the Mount.
Brooke Molchanoff (C’28) was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Year. Molchanoff was coming off an impressive rookie year and held up to the standard she set.
Heading into the MAAC tournament, Molchanoff remembered her game winning shot earlier this season against Siena. She also mentioned her record breaking performance of nine goals in a single game, to be a highlight of the season.
“That goal was an amazing feeling, just the energy in the moment and being able to come through for my team made it really special and hitting that record was something I’ll always remember.”
The sophomore expressed excitement going into the end of the season. She stated that this season has been special for her team, saying that they have grown closer together on and off the field.
“We’ve been working really hard all season, and especially these past couple weeks our coaches have been preparing us really well,” she continued, “We’re focused on taking it one game at a time and playing our best when it matters most.”
Mary Kate Allingham (C’26) was named All-MAAC Second Team for her position as an attacker. Allingham provided 27 assists across the 2026 season, being a key part of the Mount’s offense.
Allingham stated that their win against the current number two seed Niagara was a major highlight of the season, a game to keep in mind going into the end of the season.
“That came after two tough losses in a row, so it felt really rewarding to bounce back like that as a team,” she stated, “It showed our resilience and how we respond to adversity.”
Shannon McTavish (C’27), was named All-MAAC First Team. The junior is ranked fourth in the MAAC for draw controls, also leading the team this season.
McTavish highlighted beating Siena in overtime as a high point of the season, recognizing the excitement in the overtime win.
She stated that the team has grown a lot from the beginning of the season, expressing a strong relationship between her teammates.
The other players who were recognized are Hailey Chester (C’26), Haylee Bittinger (C’29) and Ava Kraszewski (C’29). Hailey Chester received First Team recognition as a defender. Bittinger and Kraszewskiwere both All-Rookie selections for the end of the season.
All three of the players had successful seasons, being three of the top scorers for the Mount this season. Chester is top 10 in the MAAC for caused turnovers and is the second player in school history to reach 200 draw controls, cementing her historic defensive skills.
The two first-years both had outstanding first collegiate seasons. Kraszewski was the third highest scorer on the team, contributing 24 goals and figured in the draw control conversation with 25 for the season. Bittinger followed as the fifth highest scorer on the team, with 19 goals, 18 ground balls, 18 draw controls and 11 assists.
Though their season ended after their playoff game at home, the Mount Women’s Lacrosse Team showed resilience all season, proving their hard work and dedication to the sport.
