Mount Students in Suits and Ties

Nicole Campos Villaran

The University's Career Center hosted their traditional Mount Suits You. This event provides professional wear donated from previous Mount or current students.

This allows every Mount student to access free professional wear for either interviews or the upcoming Career Fair occurring September 25.

Mount Suits You is open to anyone, it doesn't matter what class year you are in.

Nesrine Charoul (C’26) found out about Mount Suits through email, but she has also attended this event before.

She stated in an interview, "I was scrolling through my email this morning and I was supported to meet up with my business teacher this morning to finalize my resume and my LinkedIn. As I was going to email her, I came across the email today. I realized that I did not have any clothes and I coincidentally saw the email."

Nesrine recommends that every Mount student should attend Mount Suits. If you did not have the opportunity to take a look, there's always next time, but do take advantage of this event.

The staff loves to have these opportunities for their students. Two fantastic staff members from the career center participated in Mount Suits.

As Patrick Paradzinski stated in an interview, “It’s a service we provide from the career center and help people to get fitted or left clothes at home or did not have the stuff to begin with. This was a program that already started before I started working here but I jumped onto the success that was already happening.”

Paradzinski wants the Mount students to know that this is to help prepare you for your career whether you sign up for an internship or to get help on how to properly tie a tie.

Another staff member, Edith Pigeon stated, “The Mount Suits You was part of the career center before I started working here. This is one of the annual events that the career center puts together before the career fair. Having the preparation, the workshop and the professional attire for the students and having the capability of being able to come to the career fair dressed nicely.”

Pigeon wants the Mount students to know that this is free and it’s a free opportunity for everyone to come and see the professional attire.

There are plenty of opportunities throughout the semester for students to get professional attire. When you first witness the event, you notice that their clothes available for both men and women. Along with this, there is a variety of sizes available as well.

There is not just variety with sizing but the types of clothing that can be found. A range of dresses, button downs, pants, and blazers are seen at the event.

If you are unable to attend this event, hopefully you can attend the next one!
