The Italian Club was handing out goodie bags filled with Italian and American candies. This was a fun and relaxing event allowed students to talk with the club president and vice president.
The club president Meghan Leavitt (C’26) expressed in an interview, “I wanted to give back to the club that wasn’t an activity or an event. It was nice to switch things up and hand out Italian goodies.”
She also shared her future event that involves handing out goodie bags with school supplies and candy for students in 100-level language classes during finals week.
“We all know that feeling of stress when it comes to studying and the Italian club wants to change that.”
Anthony Silvestri (C’27) stated in an interview, “The event was very fun and relaxing. I wanted to show my support to the club but also to my friends, the president and vice president. In addition to getting free candy, it was nice to be able to talk with everyone.
Popular Italian events such as the cheese tasting and bocce ball tournament are being planned for the future.
Although the date has not been confirmed, the Italian club wanted to say they did not forget.
