Easter Egg Hunts on Campus

The Mount’s Student Activities returned again for the annual on-campus Easter Egg Hunt. Each year, the week before Easter, the organization hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt, featuring top-notch prizes that are worth over $200. During this year’s Easter Egg Hunt too, students had the chance to win some great prizes, including a 65-inch TV, iPad Mini and Apple Pencil and an Apple Watch Series 6.

Each morning, students were encouraged to be at the PAC at 7 a.m. for the clue reveal. The clue was posted on the screens of the PAC, so students would be able to see it immediately and begin their adventure. After reading the clue, students had to be on the lookout for a Golden Egg, which contained the ticket for the special prize of the day. This event was a great way to get outside and get together with friends. Commuter students also enjoyed participating in this event. Although commuter students had to wake up early to drive to campus to beat resident students, they were still willing to participate and get out there to get a chance at finding the Golden Egg with the grand prize. My roommate, Devon Filippone (C’21), experienced the fun as she tried to find the Golden Egg one morning.

On Tuesday morning, Filippone rushed over to campus on a mission to find the Golden Egg of the day, which had contained an iPad Mini and Apple Pencil. Because she is a commuter student, she had to set her alarm to make it in time for the clue reveal at 7 a.m. “I was so surprised at the amount of people that were outside! I had assumed I was going to be one of the only ones out there looking for the eggs, considering how early it was,” Filippone said. Although she came home empty-handed, she thought it was a really fun experience and she had wished she had participated in earlier years. “I wish I had done this earlier while I had lived on campus. I probably wouldn’t have had to wake up as early as I did today!” Fillippone commented.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt held on campus is a great way to make memories with friends as you try and search for Easter eggs throughout campus.
